Maybe John Boehner Should Have Said This
John Boehner found himself in a tight spot after Obama went after him over the issue of retaining the Bush tax cuts, but only for the middle class. We all know that these tax cuts, if retained, would help the economy. But Obama wanted to paint Boehner as a "friend of the rich" for holding up middle class tax cuts to make sure the rich would get their tax cuts too. Boehner neatly side stepped the issue, but not without a little struggle on finding the right message. Iowahawk, in perfect satirical form, proposes the best response from all of us, not just Boehner:
