Verizon fired employees for accessing the personal phone records of Barack Obama today. I applaud this move. It is important to our confidence in our service providers that they will maintain privacy unless subpoenas are issued.Meanwhile, back in Ohio, officials who looked up tax records and child support records of Samuel J. (Joe the Plumber) Wurzelbacher received four week suspensions. I would think that such records are far more sensitive than phone calls, but who am I to judge (or be judgmental).

B-Daddy, I concur and I would also like to add that while the Verizon employees' motive was "idle curiosity", those who were digging for dirt on Joe had the politics of personal destruction as theirs.
